The Growth Committee held its first “Free Hot Dog Lunch” event of the summer last Saturday June 25th). The Committee Chair, Emilie Cox, said “we gave away around 50 hot dogs, but the most important part of the day was meeting people we did not know and telling them about our church.” Quite a collection of people stopped for a visit and a hot dog, chips and water. Some were from the local area while others were visiting for a week of fun at the beach.

In addition to Emilie Cox, the Growth Committee Members include Barb Houston, Karen Mock, Olivia Padgett and Nancy Skardon. Their next event will be giving away free waters at the Arts in the Park on July 10th, Movie in the Park on July 13th and hot dogs on Saturday July 23rd from 11AM to 1PM. These events are a fun way to get to know our members while sharing with others information about out church.
